What airports should I plan to fly in and out of?

You’ll want to schedule your flight to arrive and depart from Auckland International Airport (AKL).

What will the weather be like during our stay?

A typical day in March is similar to Autumn in California. The average temperature are in the high 60s F in the upper North Island, the low 60s F in central parts of the country, and high 50s F further south, including Queenstown.

What currencies are used in New Zealand?

The currency utilized in New Zealand is the New Zealand Dollar (NZD). The New Zealand Dollar is currently trading at 1.00 USD to 1.62 NZD.

Will I be able to get cash and use credit cards while in New Zealand?

You will find that most major credit cards and debits cards are nearly universally accepted in New Zealand. The same is true of Travelers checks, which should be in New Zealand Dollars to avoid extra exchange rate charges. ATMs are ubiquitous throughout New Zealand so you will have easy access to cash. It should be noted that American Express is not as widely accepted in New Zealand as Visa and MasterCard.

How much cash should I bring?

We recommend bringing minimal US dollars, i.e. $75-100, with you and then accessing the local ATM’s upon arriving in New Zealand. The ATM’s will dispense the local currency and your bank will automatically calculate the exchange rate. Your own bank will typically provide the most favorable exchange rate available to you.

What is the cancellation policy for this Experience?

All deposits and final payments are non-refundable. However, we highly recommend purchasing a travel insurance program through Travel Guard and we will be happy to provide a quote or you can browse below

Can I upgrade my accommodations? 

Absolutely! We can look into suites or alternative locations if desired.

What if I want to play additional and optional golf?

There are plenty of noteworthy courses around the areas you’ll be staying at in New Zealand! If any Guest wants to play additional golf, even at the spur of the moment, your GG Concierge or Driver Concierge can arrange optional golf for you. Optional golf can be arranged well in advance of your departure as well. Please consult the GG Concierge Team for golf options.

Can I play 36 holes a day if I want to?

Absolutely! Please let a member of our Concierge Team know and we will be happy to set up additional tee times for you.

Can I arrange to ship my golf clubs to New Zealand?

Yes! We partner with Ship Sticks, the leaders in golf club shipping, and can arrange for your golf clubs to be shipped directly to New Zealand to await your arrival and home following your Experience. This is a great option to help ease the hassle of traveling and better yet, to prevent the terrible misfortune of missing or the delayed arrival of your golf clubs due to the airlines.

EntryPeriod: The entry period will begin at 12:00am on 2/20/24 and end at 11:59pm on 4/14/24 (“EntryPeriod”).

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or District of Columbia, except the residents of New York, Florida, and Rhode Island, who are ineligible to participate, who are 18 years of age or older as of 2/20/24 or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is older, and have a valid U.S. driver’s license. Employees, officers, directors and agents of Garmany Golf (“Administrator”), Rosewood Hotels, Air New Zealand, Te Arai, and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, advertising and promotion agencies and any and all other companies associated with the design or execution of this Promotion (collectively, the “Promotion Parties”), and the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or households, whether or not related, of any of the above, are not eligible to enter or win. The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

How to Enter:

During the Entry Period, promotion can be entered by visiting https://garmanygolf.com/new-zealand-bucket-list-experience-sweepstakes/ (the “website”) and completing and submitting the on-line registration form to receive one (1) entry. Participants that have opted-in may opt-out of any further communications at any time by following the opt-out instructions provided in the applicable communication. Any available opt-in opportunities are optional and not required to participate in the promotion, and checking the opt-in boxes will not increase your chances of winning. By submitting an entry, entrant agrees that Administrator and any other participating parties are authorized to contact participant via email or any other form of media to make participant aware of information pertinent to the promotion, and to distribute information regarding the Administrator featured products, special events or promotional offers, or purchase incentives, provided participant has opted-in to receive such information. Participants may opt- out of any further email communication at any time by simply following the provided opt-out instructions in email. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on 4/14/24 to be eligible. Limit of one (1) entry per person, per household, per email address, per valid entry method throughout the Entry Period. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means and entries by any means which subvert the entry process will be void. Entries that are incomplete or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. Mechanical reproductions and entries generated by any means which subvert the entry process are void. Entries that are forged, tampered with, obtained through illegitimate channels or by any other means that are not compliant with the Official Rules will be void.  

Winner Selection: A random drawing will be conducted by the Administrator on or about 4/18/24 to select one (1) potential Grand Prize winner from among all eligible entries received and combined in accordance with these Official Rules. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and combined. Potential Grand Prize winner will be notified by phone and/or email beginning approximately on or about 4/20/24 and asked to confirm their eligibility and indicate their willingness to accept the Grand Prize as described below. Upon confirmation of their eligibility as well as their willingness to accept prize, such potential Grand Prize winner will be required to execute and return a W-9 form, an affidavit of eligibility and liability and, unless prohibited by law, publicity release within three (3) days of date of issuance of notification. If potential Grand Prize winner is ineligible or otherwise fails to return such documents within the specified time period fully-executed, or if Administrator is unsuccessful to reach and speak directly with the potential Grand Prize winner by phone over a 48-hour period, potential Grand Prize winner cannot or does not wish to accept the prize or is not in compliance with these Official Rules, such potential Grand Prize winner will be disqualified and, at Administrator’s discretion, an alternate winner may be randomly selected and notified as per the procedures outlined above. Winner’s travel companion must be legal U.S. resident, 18 years or older and the age of majority in their state of residence and must complete and return a travel companion liability & publicity release prior to travel as noted above. Failure to collect or properly claim the Grand Prize in accordance with these Official Rules will result in forfeiture of the prize. If forfeited for any reason, Administrator will have no further obligation to such winner and may, at its sole discretion, randomly select an alternate winner who will be notified as per the procedures outlined above.

GRAND PRIZE (1): Prize Winner will win One (1) Garmany Golf Bucket List Experience for the prize winner and a Guest to New Zealand including:

  Grand Prize Conditions: Winner will be required to complete and return a prize acceptance form and a W-9 form. Winner must complete this paperwork and return it by the date specified by Administrator in order to claim any prize. Winner is solely responsible for any and all income, federal, state and local taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided including, without limitation, airfare upgrades and seat selection, ground transportation, luggage fees, parking fees, meals, beverage, or caddie fees. Winner may not substitute, assign, or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Administrator reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value. All prize details are at Administrator’s sole discretion. Grand Prizes will be awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, by Administrator or Administrator. The decision of the Administrator in the interpretation of these Official Rules is final. By participating, all persons agree to be bound by the decisions of the Administrator and these Official Rules. The winner must take the trip between April 20, 2024 and December 1, 2025 or the prize may, at Administrator’s sole discretion, be forfeited.

RESERVATIONS FOR ACCOMMODATIONS AND AIRLINE TICKETS: Reservations must be made in advance through The Garmany Experience Team (Experience@GarmanyGolf.com), and are subject to availability. Accommodations are provided by Te Arai Links Suites, and  Rosewood Hotels at Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs.  Airline Travel is provided by Air New Zealand.

 GENERAL CONDITIONS: By entering, entrant acknowledges compliance with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and agrees to release Promotional Parties from any claims, losses, actions, or damages, whether actual, incidental or consequential, arising out of or relating to entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes, or the acceptance, possession or use/misuse of the Prize, or participation in Prize-related activities. ARBITRATION: Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Promotion, each entrant agrees that (i) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Promotion, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) and held at the AAA regional office nearest the entrant; (ii) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (iii) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
