Important Experience Information

What airport should I plan to fly in and out of?

You’ll want to schedule your flight to arrive and depart from Cabo San Lucas International Airport (SJD).

The included airport transfers for this Experience will be to and from accommodations.

Please contact the Concierge Team if we can be of assistance with arranging alternative airport transportation or assist with booking flights.

What will the weather be like during our stay?

If you are visiting between October and May, you can expect mostly dry and mild weather with average daytime temperatures ranging from 70°F to 80°F (21°C to 27°C). Nights can be cooler, so it’s advisable to bring some light layers.

During the rainy season, from June to September, the city experiences heavier rainfall, predominantly in the late afternoon or evening. Despite the rain, temperatures remain warm, generally hovering around 75°F to 85°F (24°C to 29°C) during the day. The mornings are often sunny and fresh, making it a beautiful time to enjoy outdoor activities before the rain starts.

Overall, while extremes are rare, it is wise to prepare for varying conditions and pack accordingly — sun protection for warm sunny days, an umbrella or rain jacket for possible showers, and a sweater for cooler evenings.

What currencies are used in Mexico?

The currency utilized in Cabo, as in the rest of Mexico, is the Mexican Peso. As of the latest exchange rates, the Peso is trading at approximately 0.054 USD to 1.00 MXN. It’s advisable to have some local currency on hand for small purchases, tips, and other cash transactions, although major credit cards are widely accepted in most establishments.

Will I be able to get cash and use credit cards while in England?

You will find that most major credit cards and debit cards are widely accepted, particularly Visa and MasterCard. American Express is also accepted but not as universally as the other two. It’s a good idea to carry some cash for smaller vendors, local markets, and in case of places that do not accept cards.

ATMs are readily available throughout, and near tourist areas, providing easy access to cash withdrawals directly in Mexican Pesos. Travelers checks are not commonly used and might be more challenging to exchange, so relying on cards and cash would be more convenient.

How much cash should I bring?

We recommend bringing a minimal amount of US dollars, ideally around $100-$200, when traveling to Mexico. This will cover any immediate expenses upon arrival, such as transportation from the airport or meals. For further expenses, it’s advisable to use local ATMs to withdraw Mexican Pesos as needed throughout your stay.

How many meals are included?

A full daily breakfast will be served each morning. Should you purchase the Welcome Dinner on arrival day and Finale Dinner on the last evening of stay, this will also be included. The Garmany Golf  Concierge Team can assist with making any reservations and recommendations for the group for additional meals not included in the Experience.

What is the cancellation policy for this Experience?

All deposits and final payments are non-refundable. However, we highly recommend purchasing a travel insurance program through Travel Guard and we will be happy to provide a quote or you can browse below

What if I want to play additional and optional golf?

There’s an abundance of quality championship links courses on England’s Golf Coast if any Guest wants to play additional golf, even at the spur of the moment, a Garmany Golf Concierge can arrange optional golf for you. Optional golf can be arranged well in advance of your departure as well. Please consult the  Concierge Team for golf options.

How do I arrange for a caddie and how much do they cost?

The experience that comes from walking the course with a caddie cannot be overstated. The local caddies will not only be more adept at keeping you out of more trouble than a seeing eye dog, they will also regale you with great stories about the history of the areas and the courses. They are without a doubt, some of the best entertainment value you can experience in England.

All caddie fees are due at the course on the day of play and each Guest will be responsible for caddie fees and gratuities. Caddie gratuities are payable in cash, preferably in the local currency.

We highly recommend arranging caddies with our Concierge Team prior to your departure to ensure the maximum availability.

Can I ship my golf clubs?

Yes! We partner with Ship Sticks, the leading club shipping provider for the PGA TOUR, and can easily arrange to have your clubs shipped directly to England prior to your arrival and back home  so you can travel with ease and without hassle or worry of your clubs being lost or delayed due to the airlines.

Please contact the Garmany Golf Concierge Team at Concierge@garmanygolf.com if we can be of any assistance to you.
